So after getting settled in, I am starting to get a little more comfotable with the time and schedule around here. yesterday I finally started taking pictures, so I am posting my favorites on here! I hope you guys enjoy and if you want to see all of them including the take outs then I will have them on facebook. Ok sooo where do I begin.
Between eating amazing food everyday which if not careful would probably make me fat really quick, I am walking all over town for hours and hours everyday to balance it out. Yesterday was another amazing day, but I did not take too many pictures just because of the amount of tourists and also because it was raining off and on all day. Places like the Colosseum, Circus Maximus The Roman Forum and some others will be saved for a later date, but I did get other pictures and just remember this is a work in progress so I will be dialing all this in as we go. So please be patient and I will try to keep this thing interesting. Ok so I have to go to my first day of class so enjoy the pics and I will see you all later.

ROME Day One!

06/18/2010
Wow so it has been a long day and I finally got a little sleep last night. The time difference is 8 hours so there is only a little window for communicating with you guys back home. The journey was long, but I am here and moved in to my temporary apartment that we will all be living in until the program starts on Monday. Both the school and the apartments overlook the Campo De Fiori which is a bustling hub of activity. It is a Market/ street fair lined with Restaurants and stores by day and Bars and live music by night. My Friend Will and I went out on the town as soon as he showed up and we went directly to the Pantheon which is a 3 minute walk from our Flat. It was an amazing and unexplainable experience. I have never laid eyes on a more beautiful and balanced piece of architecture. I got goosebumps as I walked in and I got a little emotional too. Rome is a lot to take in. It is the very history of architecture all wrapped up into one city. Its almost overwhelming at times. The people the food the architecture its all here and its all amazing. I think I am going to like it here.
Cheers!

Critical Mass Project 4

I started taking pictures just to take pictures, and in this random act I started seeing trends throughout the community around me. Because I live on campus I found mass quantities of garbage piling up on curbs and street corners, and in this trash I found numerous deserted couches torn and tattered lying and waiting for their disposal. It was interesting to follow the connections throughout the community and see where it leads and this is what I feel as being the true purpose of this project.

Critical Mass Contact Sheets

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

I spend an immense amount of time sitting at my desk doing homework and projects, so naturally I wanted to map this space out as my eyes see it. As I move my eyes across from one side to the other I find myself focusing on small portions of space continually moving to the next object. This Photo is a representation of these focus points and how they individually make up small chunks in a larger spectrum.
